Hello! I am Elly and I live in General Santos City, Philippines. I have studied for a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I love watching TV series and movies, going to the beach, and mountain climbing. I also like playing video games in my free time and reading some books. One of the ways I relax is by teaching. I have been teaching ESL for four years. I acquired a TEFL certificate, which makes me more qualified to teach the English language. I've been teaching kids, teenagers, and adults from different countries with different proficiency levels. I also teach Tagalog and Cebuano to my students and friends who wish to learn the language.
I really love the part where I get to know my students because it makes it easier for me to build rapport and connection so that the exchange of knowledge will be natural. I have established a good relationship with students over the days, months, and even years of learning together. Teaching is a very challenging job as learners have different ways of learning. I see to it that I establish a good connection because I want the student to feel welcome and comfortable while learning. It is important to know what students prefer, what they want to learn, and to prioritize what they need. I can help them develop their reading, writing, and speaking skills. I like going beyond what is asked of me. I pour my heart out into teaching. I want them to learn naturally. I want the students to enjoy the process. You can talk with Elly freely about any topic.
She is a very patient listener and speaks very clearly. Corrects me and explain if I say something grammatically wrong, but in a very nice way so you can talk without any stress.
