I'm an Australian, CELTA qualified English teacher with experience teaching in lots of different settings. I'm a language learner myself, and can speak Italian, Japanese and Norwegian in addition to English. In addition to teaching English, I also play and teach music professionally, and am an avid tennis player! I pride myself on making my lessons fun and engaging. I believe that language learning needs to be fun in order to be effective, and therefore this is my number one priority. I'm flexible in my teaching style, but I also have thoughts about what makes a good English lesson, which I talk about below. My favourite approach to teaching is through speaking practice, where you will learn how English grammar and vocabulary work together in a natural way. I'm also very comfortable teaching using other means, like textbooks, written materials, videos and more. I've helped friends at university with their acedemic English exams (IELTS etc.), so I'm familiar with these too.私の好きな指導法はスピーキング練習で、英文法と語彙がどのように連動しているのかを自然な形で学ぶことができます。また、教科書や筆記用具、ビデオなど、他の手段を使って教えることも得意です。大学の友人の英語試験（IELTSなど）を手伝ったことがあるので、これらの試験にも精通しています。Il mio materiale didattico

I had a really good class with James. He seems to be really passionate about teaching, and he helped me a lot with pronunciation mistakes and vocabularies tips. I highly recommend James for those who want to learn in a fun and personalized way

I had my first class and it was a great experience. The teacher listened to my needs and corrected me in a kind and supportive way. The conversation topics were interesting and made the class very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this course! James created a supportive environment where I felt comfortable practicing speaking without fear of mistakes. His feedback was always clear and constructive, especially on pronunciation and fluency.
