Jean-Philippe

JP is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. His lesson materials, such as a book and own lesson material, are excellent and you learn a lot from him. He encourages you to actively use the language, which really helps you improve quickly. When you don’t understand something, he explains it clearly and in detail. He is always punctual and very organized in the way he structures and conducts his lessons.

Without a doubt my favorite French teacher - and I've been studying French for years. He's not only a highly-skilled professor, he's engaging and super well-informed. J'étudie le français depuis des décennies avec plusieurs professeurs. Mon préféré ? Sans aucun doute, Jean-Philippe. Je cherchais un professeur capable de faire deux choses : m'aider à perfectionner mon français et discuter de presque tous les sujets, y compris l'actualité, le cinéma et la musique. Il est parfait !

Jean-Philippe is an excellent and patient teacher, and I always look forward to our weekly lessons. He has a mix of texts and audio materials to introduce new vocabulary and grammar, as well as practice your comprehension and expression so there is always a lot of variety.

I've been with JP for almost 2 years. He's a terrific teacher. We have great conversations and lessons. His style of teaching is designed in a way to make my brain learn permanently. When I was looking around, he seemed like the only teacher that could match my intensity. My 90 minute lessons are basically 30 minutes of conversation followed by corrections, then we go through the homework for the lessons that I had already done without looking at what I wrote. This is designed to make me think on the fly and internalize. The exercises that he gives are very challenging and really hammer home a lot of difficult points. He also helped me prepare for DELF A1 and A2, and I'm hoping to take DELF B1 in June. I think he's one of the best teachers on Italki and if you look at his ratio of lessons to students it's is one of the highest you'll ever find.

Jean-Philippe is an excellent teacher who is patient when I make mistakes, explains very clearly and is very creative with learning methods.

Jean-Philippe is more than just a gifted professor of French, he's also engaged and interested in what you have to say, not just how you say it. I other words he helps you want to express yourself. This makes his lessons feel like an enjoyable hour spent with a friend so you don't really feel like the work you're doing is work.
