I'm a very kind caring open minded person who sees the best in everybody and everything and appreciates it all for what it really is. I love what I do and I do my best in everything I set my mind to. I am very committed and when teaching a language, I like making people have a great time while learning.
I studied modern languages at Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia, so I speak other languages as well. I taught English for over 13 years in private schools in my home country and Spanish abroad for 3 years.I had meaningful experiences while working in schools, for it gave me the chance to recognize different learning styles and applying different strategies to help my students improve.Che tipo di insegnante sono

In my teaching practice I like to include a wide variety of resources depending on the students learning styles and preferences. I take into account the student’s motivation and likes in order to provide a great experience while learning.

I really like conversation classes. Based on real life situations we will be able to practice the basic skills to learn a language: grammar, listening, speaking Reading and Writing as well as learning vocabulary. I can adapt my language to your level so that you understand better. I can also talk with you about a wide variety of topics and help you learn the language.
I also love teaching by using songs, especially those which have a positive message. Music lyrics, just as music itself, are powerful means of communication, a way to express the authors’ feelings, perceptions, culture and beliefs about the world. All language skills can be worked through songs and it is a fun way too!Certificati

Sereia was very kind and helpful in my lesson. She is an experienced teacher and made me feel comfortable learning particularly with me being at a beginner level. We also had a lot of common interests which always helps! Thank you for a great first lesson, I look forward to many more.

I had an excellent first lesson with Johanna! She was patient and encouraging. Even though I am at a beginner level, Johanna was so easy to speak with and before I knew it the class was over and we had only used Spanish the entire time! She tailored the lesson to meet my needs and work with me at my level. I look forward to booking more classes with her. I highly recommend taking a class with Johanna.
