Lucía

Lucía is a wonderful teacher! She is kind, engaging, patient, and intelligent. I've been taking classes with her for months now and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Spanish. She brings great energy to every lesson, asks thoughtful questions, and strikes the perfect balance between making me feel comfortable speaking/listening and providing constructive feedback. She is also very knowledgeable and explain concepts clearly in both Spanish and English. Beyond her teaching skills, Lucía is warm, funny, and full of energy. Every conversation with her is both enjoyable and motivating. She makes learning Spanish not just effective, but truly fun!

I can't recommend Lucía enough. In my trial lesson, she ensured that she understood exactly what I wanted to achieve and by when, and she gave me a realistic schedule of lessons I would need to achieve that. My lessons fluctuate between pure grammar lessons and pure conversation lessons. Lucía makes me work hard in grammar lessons, covering all the topics that I find difficult and explaining them in a way that is easy to understand. She is also very patient with me, guiding me where needed but also giving me space to figure things out myself. My conversation lessons are my favourite! We spend the entire lesson speaking in Spanish about whatever topic comes up. Lucía helps me with unknown vocab and grammar in these lessons and uses them to guide our grammar lessons as well. The vocab I have acquired is so much more useful than set lists or topics as our conversations flow naturally, so the vocab is more applicable for me. No need to look further for a teacher as Lucía is amazing!

Lucía is a wonderful teacher! She is extremely engaging and encouraging in her teaching. Learning a new language can be intimidating at the start, but i feel comfortable to make mistakes with her, and she will motivate me to try again. This helps me to remember better, and this application of language helps me to learn it well. Lucía is also very supportive and smiley, i truly enjoy every spanish class with her. Her pace is tailored to my beginner level, and i have no pressure being a new learner. Please try her lessons, you will not regret it. Having Lucía as a teacher has been a great experience so far. After only a couple of months, my Spanish has improved so much. As I started these lessons with a very minimal understanding of Spanish, Lucía has started from the beginning for me. Lucía is a patient and dedicated teacher who really takes the time for me to fully understand a topic before we move onto something new - this is personally very beneficial for my learning style. As a person, Lucía is positive and kind which always makes turning up to class a lot easier after a full day of work! Lucía knows that my girlfriend is from Costa Rica, so also adds some local phrases into class sometimes which is fun. I would recommend Lucía to anyone wanting to learn Spanish as she is committed to ensuring you leave her lessons speaking like a native. I am looking forward to seeing my progression with Lucía in a few more months ! :)
