Lisa

I have been learning Russian with Lisa since September and am absolutely loving it! Never before have I ever been able to make much progress as Russian can be such a difficult language to learn, even if you have a native speaker at home, but with Lisa I have learned so much and, for the first time ever, genuinely believe I will be able to speak fluent Russian one day! Lisa is a fantastic teacher - she is always encouraging, enthusiastic and really skilled at simplifying complex grammar. Lessons are always thoughtfully-structured and efficient, with regular revision sessions to support retention, and a strong mix of writing, reading, speaking and listening. Even though I am far from a natural linguist, I am already able to speak basic Russian with my husband and his family just a couple of months into starting. This is all down to Lisa and I could not be more grateful!

This was my first lesson with Lisa and she was very organized and prepared. She was also very attentive in helping me speak and learn Russian words and sentences!

It’s been 20 classes with Lisa already, and I don’t know how the time has passed. The classes are always pleasant, though intense in learning. She is a great teacher: calm, very clear in her speech, and in the way she explains. I feel I’ve made great progress already. I started with some very chaotic notions of the Russian language, and now they’ve started to fall into place in my head. I would recommend Lisa to anyone, regardless of their level of Russian!

As usual the lesson was fun and very well prepared. Lisa adapts lessons to topics students like to discuss and then manages to be prepared with interesting content. At the same time she also pays attention to all other aspects of language learning in those lessons (grammar, pronunciation, reading, listening etc).

Very nice and serious teacher, the classes are well structured. Highly recommended!

Я всегда люблю заниматься с Лизой! Она умный и внимательный собеседник, которая слушает своих учеников с терпением и искренним интересом. Она понимает мои сильные и слабые стороны, и поэтому я лучше понимаю, что мне нужно делать дома. У неё всегда есть личный план урока, но она также позволяет нам долго разговаривать! Я рекомендую Лизу всем!
