Hi, I’m Erin—an American English teacher in Sevilla since 2008! I specialize in helping intermediate to advanced learners *speak* English confidently, whether for travel, work, or just loving the language. My secret? Making lessons feel like lively chats over tapas (my Sevilla life rubbed off on me!). Fun fact: My social work background means I *listen* deeply—so I’ll catch your stumbling blocks and turn them into strengths. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me swapping book recommendations, lifting weights (balance, right?), or trying out new recipes. Let’s make English feel *yours*—with humor, pop culture, and zero stress! I have a TEFL certificate from TEFL International and I've also taught in academies or have given private lessons since 2008. As a teacher, I really care about my students and try to help them and give them support as much as I can. I always try to explain things as thoroughly as possible, often by giving examples or playing games, if you're interested, to help reinforce what we're studying. I like to give dynamic lessons to keep everyone interested through games, activities, songs or videos. I try to make sure that each lesson incorporates some sort of skills needed when learning a language, such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. I cater to my students' needs and what they're interested in.

In our first class, we took the opportunity to get to know each other a little. She told me what I needed to improve and encouraged me to take a test to find out my English level. I really enjoyed the class with Erin. I think she is a very good teacher and I am already looking forward for my next class with her.
