Yorgos

What I really love about these lessons is that there is no book involved. It's a lot about me asking thousands of questions and Yorgos being ready with as many sources of good tailored material that answer my questions and help me remember words and structures. Memes are a golden addition! His background in Italian language and Ancient Greek allow him to explain to me things from a different etymological perspective, adding so much richness to the lexicon I learn. He never judges and he positively reinforces all the progress you make, encouraging you to have conversations and make mistakes in order to grow. Bravo!

Another great session with Yorgos! Yorgos' passion for linguistics and knowledge of various languages has helped immensely when breaking down and explaining various parts of the greek language. Very easy to talk to - I can recommend fully!

We began with a review of a story that I had written after our previous class. Followed by a short conversation about my kids. Then I read to Yorgos one of his published stories and he encouraged me to read a new story I had not seen before. We switched between Greek and Spanish when I got stuck. I learned some new expressions and look forward to our next class. A very enjoyable experience.

Yorgos was incredibly flexible and patient with my learning needs and happy to field some of my questions around the finer points of grammar and structure, be it in English or Greek. He is a wealth of knowledge and I’m looking forward to our next lesson!

This was our first formal class and I had a ton of doubts and questions about grammar from the greek learning resources I had used so far. Yorgos explained, exemplified and resolved all of it for me. He gave me homework. I enjoyed the class and look forward to the next one.
