I have been studying Mandarin with Anastasia for almost five years. We’ve used my textbooks, podcasts, graded readers, and videos, and sometimes just chat about language, culture, or life. She has helped me with my writing. She will work to accommodate her students’ needs and interests. Anastasia’s training in linguistics and her fluency in English besides her native language enable her clearly to explain nuances in syntax and meaning that help to illuminate Mandarin for me. A minute or two after your lesson, she will send you the notes about new vocabulary or ideas you have covered that you can then work with more on your own. Anastasia is smart, personable, funny, and—so important—patient! Highly recommended!
