I am a licensed EFL teacher and specialize in teaching grammar and accent reduction. I've been helping my students prepare for EIKEN ever since I came to Japan. I had to take TOEFL iBT back when I was applying to the University of Minnesota, and I got 110 points (equivalent to EIKEN 1). If you are preparing for either EIKEN or TOEFL, I have the materials, qualifications, and experience necessary to help you succeed.
Teaching and learning are two of my biggest hobbies. Mastering Japanese is my current goal. I am fascinated by the cultural aspects of grammar, and how different environmental factors shape different languages and mentalities. I am incredibly grateful I can work as a teacher. I was born in the USSR, so 1/3 of my education happened in Russian, another 1/3 in Ukrainian, and 1/3 in English (US). Active discussion is the key to fluency. My lessons are 75% discussion. I strongly encourage my students to ask as many questions as possible, the trick is to form the questions on the spot, not beforehand - that's the key to having a 'live' conversation.
