Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.

I already have 7 years of experience in online teaching, with certification to teach Chinese and English to adults and children. Also, I have completed IELTS teacher training courses with a certificate.
When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. That's why I want to help people who learn about the Chinese language and culture. At the same time, I am committed to supporting Chinese students in improving their spoken English and preparing them for studying and working in an English language environment. We talked about our day, today, and it branched off into other topics. And then we went on to the reading material. Whenever I wasn't sure of a word to express myself, I would ask, and my teacher would tell me and write it down for me to review. Her teaching style is great!

脱离英语语境已经四年多了 完全没有语感，能听懂大致意思，但是没办法表达，一些很简单的词语都很难瞬间想起来。和外教对话有些挑战了，Elena的教学更适合我这种情况 会很耐心地帮我回忆单词、表达，我可以不用担心我没办法表达长句子。而且每次也会给我一个对话主题，都是比较商务、日常的，不断强化我如何用英语交谈这些主题。蛮棒的，会继续跟着学习，期待看到自己的变化。
