My name is Ryusei, and I’m from Nara, Japan — a place famous for its temples, history, and friendly deer.
Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests. I like visiting art museums, basketball, and also hearing your stories, experiences, and ideas is one of the things I enjoy most. As a teacher, I value flexibility. Every student has different backgrounds, and the most effective way to master a language varies from person to person, so I always adjust my lessons to fit what you need. Thankfully, my students often tell me that I have a calm and relaxed way of teaching, which makes it easier for them to speak without feeling nervous.
Ultimately, I want to be a teacher who listens carefully and encourages you. I’ll do my best to guide you in your Japanese learning journey, while making sure you always feel comfortable and motivated.

I enjoyed my conversation lessons with Ryusei 先生. I liked the choice of questions posed, and was able to have natural conversations. During lessons, I can ask for feedback, clarifications and questions. Ryusei 先生 is able to provide these with patience. He is able to converse at your level and provide a comfortable atmosphere for the conversation to take place.

Every class with Ryusei is a delight. He provides us students with a light-hearted and safe environment to make mistakes and talk about the most varied things. He's an extremely patient teacher who's ready to answer our questions all while fostering an environment for cultural exchange on top of all the language learning. Truly a priceless experience!

Super friendly and patient. I was incredibly nervous and forgot just about everything I wanted to say but Ryusei san made me feel comfortable.

Ryusei 先生 is very calm, caring and encouraging. Usually, I find it hard to answer questions and maintain a conversation but he is able to provide a conducive environment to facilitate the conversation. Thankful for the engaging session.
