My name is Dori, I started teaching Hebrew and English on italki over five years ago. I love seeing my students improve and gain confidence and feel very humbled knowing that I helped them get there. Aside from teaching I love cooking, gardening and dancing.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I try my best to customize each lesson to the student. We each learn in different ways and are interested in different things. Language is best learned through things which fascinate us.
I'm not a strict teacher and give homework when I see fit or when my students ask me to.
Also, I don't like correcting my students 5 times in one sentence, but rather work on vocabulary in general and touch on grammar when it seems appropriate. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

I like to build my classes organically with my students so that everyone can get closer to their goal. My approach is that the person learning doesn't have to adjust themselves to a program that might not suite them, but rather to try and make the lessons fit the student.
I prefer to start with some get-to-know-each-other questions and move from there; obviously with some it goes smoothly and with some, less so. If we feel that it's right, then we can develop the classes together, based on what you want to learn.Il mio materiale didattico

Dori is so patient and kind. She is extremely knowledgeable in Hebrew grammar as well as an amazing Hebrew teacher.

Dori is the best Hebrew teacher I had so far. She instinctively recognizes where my weaknesses and problems are in Hebrew and adjusts the course of the lessons accordingly. It was always difficult for me to "open my mouth" in Hebrew. Dori gives me the space and the security to confidently speal and not to be ashamed of my mistakes, but to see them as "work potential". She not only gives the lesson itself, but also sends new words and grammar in a very detailed wordsheet with Nikud, english translation and phonetic pronounciation. This way, it is easy and fun to fully concentrate on the lesson itself without having to interrupt or rush to take notes.
Apart from being just a great teacher, you will find a very interesting and witty discussion partner in her.
