Hi! I am 44 years old and a Native English speaker with a neutral British accent.
I am from Norwich in the East of England, currently living in Turkey with my husband and 3 cats.

I have been a Community Tutor on Italki since January 2020 and find it very rewarding to be able to help people to improve their English.
I am here to help you gain practice experience with having real conversations with a native speaker.
I pride myself on being able to build students confidence so that they feel comfortable speaking English and believe in their abilities.
I myself am learning Turkish so I fully understand how nerve-wracking it can be to try to speak to someone in the language you are learning and I hope that you will leave the lessons with me feeling happier and encouraged.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My teaching style is relaxed. I am not a strict teacher so please relax and try to enjoy our lessons.
My main goal is to help improve your confidence and fluency with your speaking.
I can help you with your pronunciation, tone, widen your vocabulary, and can even help you with your writing if you wish.
I am patient and compassionate so hope to put you at ease.
Please note I only teach adults (over 18), and Italki's 24 hour cancellation policy applies to all of my lessons.

Clare is a great teacher, lessons with her are very enjoyable. She tries to inform me about my mistakes and explains the correct way. The lessons are very active and instructive. Clare is like a good friend - caring and supportive. I needed someone to talk to in English, to revise vocabulary and practice grammar constructions in spoken English. After a few lessons I see great progress, I feel more confident and less stressed. Clare is flexible, I can choose a topic, ask questions about vocabulary and grammar, she adapts to the student’s needs. I sincerely recommend this teacher.
