I am a native Dane and I've been working as a Danish teacher since 2018. I have a Master's degree in Danish language and literature from the University of Southern Denmark, and I am trained in second-language learning and acquisition from Copenhagen University.
Please note that the availability in my profile only reflects my general working schedule, but it doesn't ensure that I am available, since I have other professional activities. This is also why I had to turn auto-booking off and we will have to use the chat to book lessons. I inherited my love for Danish as well as Ancient languages from my paternal grandmother, who was a Danish and History teacher herself for many years. With her, I developed a profound interest in teaching.
Later, I had to study Latin almost on my own because very few people wanted to study it. I often felt stuck and thought about quitting, but I tried to find the patience and I explored different methods in order to learn.

My lessons can focus on different aspects depending on your level and goals. For instance:
- lessons for beginners,
- improving grammar and orthography,
- increasing general or specific vocabulary,
- improving pronunciation and conversational skills,
- improving writing skills and style (academic writing or business writing),
- learning about Danish culture.
I can teach both adults and children and I have experience preparing students for Prøve i Dansk 2 & 3 and Studieprøven.
I use a variety of teaching materials and tools such as slides, traditional grammars, texts of varying difficulty, interactive whiteboard, flashcards and quizzes. I can also send short lecture notes after each class.Il mio materiale didattico

Sarah listened closely to what I wanted in my lesson and adapted to meet that. She also kindly, but clearly corrected me when I made errors. Very helpful all around!
