Hey! My name is Valeria, I’m Mexican and I have a degree in Spanish Philology. I consider myself a creative person, who always looks for ways to innovate. In my free time I like to read and watch TV series. I think that learning is a necessary asset in our lives, and one of the most enriching ones is language learning, because languages are what move us around the world. I love the diversity of cultures, and therefore of languages, I find them fascinating, and as a Spanish speaker and Spanish philologist, I have a great need to share my language with the world.

I think that the most important thing is to adapt the teaching to the student. This is achieved by really being interested in them and empathizing with their needs, in order to find the best method that suits them.
Each student is different and I am aware of it, so I’m respectful to everyone and try to make lessons joyous and fun, because no one, and less me, likes a boring class. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
NOTE: Although I have worked with younger students in the past, currently I don't teach children. Students should be 15+
I really like to bring in cultural facts whenever it’s appropriate, and through this, give extra knowledge to language understanding.
I have three main classes: tutoring, conversation, and the full course. All of these are adapted acording to the student.
The 3rd option is the closest to "regular clases" and can be mixed with the other 2, so the student can decide according to their needs and each class can be different if desired. All the materials are provided by me but we can also work with materials you bring.Il mio materiale didattico

I’ve been working with Valeria on my Spanish for nearly one and a half years, starting from scratch to now a higher intermediate level! She’s an amazing, teacher that speaks with such clarity and knowledge of the language, and having learnt other languages herself, understands the difficulties of language learning - both practically and mentally.

I've had a couple of conversation classes with Valeria and she's been great. She has a talent for keeping the conversation going. I appreciate how she keeps track of new words and concepts that we cover in class. And she doesn't hesitate to help me find the right words and correct my mistakes. I look forward to future classes!
