CELTA-certified teacher w/ MSc Neuroscience, BS Chem Engineering, and 1000+ hours of teaching Hello! I'm Neil from Boca Raton, Florida, the United States. I was born in Thailand and moved to the US when I was young. I'm bilingual and speak both English and Thai fluently. I'm passionate about learning and teaching languages. I studied Mandarin Chinese in high school, and now I'm learning German. I have quite a broad academic background as it took me a while to discover my passion. I have a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida. I also attended medical school in Las Vegas, Nevada, for 1.5 years, and studied economics at the University of Zurich. Recently, I have completed an MSc Neuroscience degree at King's College London and passed with distinction. I've been teaching English as a second/foreign language since 2019. I was a freelance English instructor for corporates and governmental organizations in Prague from 2019-2020. Some of the organizations I taught at include the National Cyber and Information Security Agency, the Customs Administration, and the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting of the Czech Republic. I received my CELTA certification after training at International House Prague in 2019, and I apply the methodology I learned in my standard English lessons. I just finished doing a mock interview for an internal medicine resident matching with Neil today. That is so helpful. Neil made me familiar with the interview atmosphere. -Asked me many good questions -Provided me feedback and comments on what I did well and what I should improve. He corrected my pronunciation, evaluated the quality of my answers, and gave some ideas to improve my answers. I highly recommend him to everyone who would like to prepare for the mock interview.
