Currently do NOT accept students under the age of 14, sorry！ ♠ Majored in English Literature and Pedagogy, plus Chinese Literature as the second major. ♠ Mandarin Proficiency Test Level-1B, provide a pure standard Chinese pronunciation. ♠ Working as a professional Chinese teacher since 2007, 17 years and over 16,000 hours' experience. ♠ Funny, patient, care, easygoing, open minded. A good listener and serious as a teacher. ♠ Interested in many things: culture, history, traveling, cooking, music, hand craft, making leather stuff ... ▶Full time on Italki since 2020. ▶Students are from over 40 countries, age from 5 to 73 years old. They are international schools students, overseas students in universities, and lots of housewives, businessmen who are living in Shanghai. ▶Used to give 1 on 1 private lessons, 1 on 2 mini group, big group from 4 to 20 students. ● Courses at all levels are included, such as Pinyin for beginners, tailor-made basic survival Chinese topics, practical daily conversations. Lovely patient knowledgeable teacher. Always have a bit of a laugh even when we might be discussing heavier topics. Almost 5 years now as her student and I still look forward to have lessons every week.

Ria is fantastic. As language learners, practicing output is hard and basically the biggest reason to work with a tutor on iTalki, and Ria gets this. Ria is a great conversationalist and experienced. Above all, Ria's so patient, even in those moments where you spend 30 seconds trying to stutter out a semi-familiar sentence structure you want to practice.

6 weeks before my planned trip to China, I took lessons with Ria Zhang, and it was really incredible. She helped me prepare, she gave me confidence in speaking more, and most importantly, she made me feel like a can actually learn this language. Very supporting, very friendly, very patient. I highly, highly recommend anyone to take lessons from her. When I am back from China and have practiced what I have learned with the locals, I will definitely continue with my Chinese learning journey with her. :)
