My name is David and I am here to help you to improve your English or Dutch. I was born in Tokyo, but raised mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium and I have worked and lived in Canada too. I use standard English and Dutch. Having mixed backgrounds myself, I like to learn about other cultures and also the languages I come across. I have a keen interest in politics, history, photography and beer!

My sessions are mainly conversation based, depending on your needs and wishes. In my humble view, the best way to improve is to actively use the language that you are learning.
For example, one of my Dutch students used to be a collector of languages, who studied over 40 languages, and had the goal to learn as many as possible. As he had already studied German, English and French, it was possible to focus less on vocabulary and grammar, and more on pronunciation and colloquialisms through training sessions and games.
We can focus on specific themes and subjects like having small talk, taking the bus, going to the doctor, or to more advanced situations as job interviews or a good joke.Il mio materiale didattico

Een ontzettend spannend gesprek over de sociale uitdagingen van de huidige Franse regering, de steeds veranderende Duitse kanselieropvolger, de recente uitspraak van het Italiaanse Hooggerechtshof over Salvini en de overheidsinstellingen van de EU. David is immers een heel geweldige en kundige gesprekspartner.
