Certified native English teacher and professional educator with 5+ years of experience. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Linguistics and Japanese and have a specialized knowledge of language learning. 日本語能力試験N2 | Русский язык B1 I specialize in building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I have been teaching for 5+ years and have worked with students of all ages. I specialize in linguistics and am particularly interested in helping students of English practice their pronunciation. I love to share tips about aspiration, common pronunciation mistakes, word stress, sentence rhythm, and register (e.g. formal English vs. informal English). I offer conversational, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary classes. I will work with you to complete your language learning goal, whether that's to pass a test or to live and work in America. I was very nervous taking a lesson online for the first time but she explained before we started a conversation how her class works to reassure me. Also, she mentioned some grammar points and pronunciation that I can improve which are very valuable to me. Thank you Sam sensei !
