I’m a language teacher with nearly 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families from many cultural backgrounds. I’m also a homeschooling mother of two bilingual children, which strongly influences how I teach and how I understand learning at home.
I was trained as a documentary filmmaker and artist, so creativity is central to my life and my teaching. For me, learning is a creative, relational process.
Since 2020, iTalki has been my way of connecting with wonderful people around the world—many of whom become part of my extended community. I love teaching from home, sharing real life, and inviting students into a warm, human learning space.Che tipo di insegnante sono
Over the years, I’ve worked with infants and young children (from 6 months old), children and teenagers in group and 1-1 settings, families and homeschoolers, neurodivergent children, and adults who want to truly live a language, not just study it.
My teaching style is playful, immersive, and deeply human. I believe languages are learned best when curiosity comes before correctness, communication matters more than perfection, and learners feel safe, relaxed, and engaged.
As a teacher, I focus on creating encouraging spaces where students can take risks, make mistakes, and build real confidence using the language. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My lessons are 30 minutes long by design. I believe focused, high-quality attention is more effective than longer sessions that drain energy — for children and adults. We always work on the rising curve of focus, motivation, and enthusiasm, keeping learning fresh, effective, and sustainable.
We learn through conversation, stories, music, games, visuals, and creative activities adapted to each student’s level and interests. Teaching online has transformed how I understand presence: through the screen, we can connect deeply because students are in their own homes. I don’t expect young children to sit still, instead, we move, dance, play, explore spaces, and turn daily life into language.Il mio materiale didattico

Our lessons have been so amazing! My children are four and six years old and they are really excited for these classes. Her classes are so engaging - she actually had the kids bake a carrot and apple cake, they play hide and seek, and sing lots of songs. She also helps with how to continue teaching and reinforcing content in between our classes, which has been especially helpful. She also uses technology in a very unique and engaging manner. It is so meaningful that the kids look forward to and are engaged in their classes, rather than it be another chore for them to do!

I had Ana for my 3yo child. I already tried a couple of teachers for my child but was not easy to meet the right fit. However I found Ana the best teacher for young children and my daughter truly enjoyed and was involved! Looking forward to taking her next lesson soon!

My son has now had nearly 20 classes with Ana, and he looks forward to his weekly sessions. Ana is wonderfully prepared for each class, and is an engaging and skilled teacher. Prior to starting our lesions with her, we had tried several other online Spanish teachers. What made Ana stand out is the fact that she always makes the lesson interactive and fun, which is so important with young children. Thank you so much!!!
