Hi, my name is Ottavia and I live in Rome. I studied History at the University of Siena, I am a certified DITALS teacher and certified CELI examiner I have been teaching Italian for ten years to students of all ages. Since May 2019 I am also a CELI examiner so I can help you in preparing a certification exam (not only CELI but also CILS and PLIDA). I use a communicative approach. I usually design teaching units aimed at developing reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Generally I start my lessons with a text (e.g. a dialogue, a listening, a video), analyzing then the grammar and vocabulary needed to use the language effectively. The lessons will be organized according to your needs and interests.

Ottavia is very professional and nice person, knows very well the structure of CELI/CILS exams and bring confidence in a student. She is also very objective and pragmatic it teaching so the class goes very efficient and time flies! I enjoyed it a lot!

Ottavia is very knowledgeable with the CELI exams. She has a lot of resources and materials to help you. I appreciate that she adapted the lesson to my ability level and focused on the areas where I was weaker. She also explained clearly how to think about the questions in a useful way, and how to notice the tricky parts. My lesson definitely boosted my confidence going into the exam! Looking forward to future study sessions!

Ottavia is a great teacher. She knows very well how to adjust to the level of the student and provides a great mix of conversation and exercises during the lessons. She is always very well prepared and understands which topics help the student best to progress.
