Hi! Thank you for taking the time to look into me!
My name is Luke, and I am from the UK. I hold a degree in History and Politics, and have worked in a variety of industries including: UK Civil Service, NHS, and multiple high end international retail brands.
I am based in Brazil and have a basic understanding of Portuguese as well as Italian.
Beyond work, I enjoy visiting art exhibits, travelling and meeting new people! In addition, I have a fondness for writing and currently have 2 published collections of poetry!Che tipo di insegnante sono
My style is more of a relaxed, informal approach. I will obviously have a structure to the lessons, but wish to adapt them according to what the student requires.
So if you are seeking lessons in basic spoken English, or all the way to suitable professional level proficiency in English, I am more than happy to help.

My initial lesson will be used to measure the students grasp of English, and to understand what they seek from the lessons. I will adapt my lessons accordingly from there, so if you are looking to improve your written work, I am here for you as much as I am here to support you in saying your first words!
I believe in having patience and supporting! I am here to give feedback too, and reassure students that English, while a daunting language, is not as daunting as it may first seem.

I think this has been my best Italki lesson so far! I can only recommend taking lessons with Luke because he‘s a nice, intelligent and fun person! I love that he‘s teaching me many new words and I enjoy the conversations and learning about his perspective and point of view. Looking forward to talking to you again, Luke :)

It’s very relax to speak with Luke and rewarding as well. He nicely gave me feedback, corrected my colloquial mistakes and taught me how to express authentically at any time, that is what I want through this platform.

Luke is one of the best teacher i ever had .He is invaluable for the feedback that he gives and his skills as a convesationalist .Moreover he creates laid back ambiance during our lessons and whenever we banter with Luke his jokes are cracking me up )

Luke is a great English teacher. He is patient, funny, and explains everything clearly. His lessons are always engaging. He creates a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to learn and speak with confidence. Highly recommend!
