I am a certified Arabic instructor with over 15 years of experience specialising in Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Arabic. Holding a degree in Arabic language pedagogy, I have successfully guided students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds in mastering grammar, media Arabic, and conversational fluency. My teaching methodology is tailored to individual learning objectives, enriched by cultural insights drawn from my academic background and personal interests in history, travel, and cinema. As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and dedicated to helping my students achieve their language learning goals. I believe that it is essential to not only teach the language itself but also to provide my students with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world. My teaching style is student-centered and I use a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I believe that language learning should be fun and enjoyable, and I incorporate games, songs, and other interactive activities into my lessons to keep my students engaged and motivated.
I also believe in providing ongoing support and feedback to my students, and I use a variety of assessment tools to monitor their progress and identify areas for improvement. I have been studying Egyptian Arabic with Mai for over a year, and feel enormous improvements in my language skills due to these lessons. Each lesson is well-structured and have tangible goals that make learning manageable and enjoyable. Mai is patient and does a fantastic job at finding your level and speaking at a level that is both understandable and still challenges your vocabulary skills. I would highly recommend Mai for anyone wanting to learn Egyptian Arabic!

Ms Mai is a lovely and very patient teacher, her lessons are easy to follow and very informative. Her teaching style is brilliant and I have picked up Arabic much more quickly than I thought I would. I highly recommend her lessons.

Amazing class. It was my first with Mai and I am very impressed with how fast the lesson went and how well prepared the material were. You can tell the quality of the class is highly professional and intentionally made for foreigners to hit the ground running. Mai is a lot of fun to learn from and she also has a radio voice, which makes you feel like you are on air in an Arabic TV show!

Very smooth and structured lesson with Mai. She first assessed my level and talked to me about my needs. She really tailored the lesson for me. I'm glad to have found her to help with my Arabic journey!

Mai is really patient. I feel like I am learning at a pace where I feel confident. Arabic is very hard to learn but she has made it enjoyable. Highly recommend.
