I normally would attend language schools in Spain to progress my Spanish but due to covid have moved to Italki. Lucia is an excellent teacher, knows what is required to teach and has a good manner in doing it. Makes learning enjoyable- what more could you want?

I enjoyed every lesson with Lucía. She is kind, fun, and engaging, always encouraging me to express my thoughts. Her lessons are both structured (focused on grammar) and creative (emphasizing active use and listening to the language). Through her guidance, my language skills have improved along with my understanding of Hispanophone culture and history. I deeply appreciate all of this. 🤍

Having a lesson with Lucía always makes my day. I learn new words, new phrases and get plenty of time to talk in Spanish. Each time I have a lesson, one of two things happens: 1. Either I speak for longer periods of time (I've gone from 0 minutes to 10 minutes or more) 2. Or the complexity of my speaking and listening goes up. Both are gratifying and keep me motivated.

I've really enjoyed my first few classes with Lucía. She brings warmth and intelligence to our lessons, keeps the conversation flowing naturally, and helps out unobtrusively if I stumble on a word or idiom. Thank you :) I'm looking forward to our next class!

Podría escribir esta reseña en español - but I want to write it in English so more people can read it. I have been working with Lucía for about four years. In that time, my Spanish has gone from 'nonexistent' to a point where I can speak comfortably and understand what people are saying to me in Spanish. Because of Lucía's help and guidance, I have been able to visit Spanish-speaking countries and not just ask '¿Dónde está la biblioteca?', but have actual conversations with people in taxis, at fútbol games, etc. Because of Lucía I didn't just visit these countries - I experienced them - and I think that is what every Spanish learner wants - to experience another culture, another way of living and seeing the world. Lucía made that possible. She helped me through the difficult times, when I wanted to give up and she celebrated with me when I achieved a new level in the language. If you are serious about speaking Spanish - then Lucía is the teacher for you. You will not be sorry. Trust me
