I normally would attend language schools in Spain to progress my Spanish but due to covid have moved to Italki. Lucia is an excellent teacher, knows what is required to teach and has a good manner in doing it. Makes learning enjoyable- what more could you want?

Having a lesson with Lucía always makes my day. I learn new words, new phrases and get plenty of time to talk in Spanish. Each time I have a lesson, one of two things happens: 1. Either I speak for longer periods of time (I've gone from 0 minutes to 10 minutes or more) 2. Or the complexity of my speaking and listening goes up. Both are gratifying and keep me motivated.

This was such a fun class. We just talked about different things. For me, I realized during the class that my Spanish listening skills maybe weren’t as bad as I thought. I was surprised at how much I understood on more complex topics. My speaking needs a lot of work, but with Lucía, I know I’m gonna get there!

I started the conversation classes with Lucía over a year ago when I moved to Spain. While I had some basic Spanish knowledge, I lacked the confidence to make phone calls, handle administrative tasks, or even make friends here. What I love most about our weekly conversation lessons is how diverse and engaging they are. We discuss everything, from politics and current events to series, podcasts, travel, food, books... Every single lesson, I learn tons of new vocabulary while having genuinely interesting conversations. I now feel completely comfortable having conversations in Spanish, and I owe this confidence entirely to Lucía and the work we've done together. Having a native Spanish teacher has been invaluable for understanding not just the language, but the culture, food, and way of life here. I recommend Lucía 100%. She's always available and in a good mood. Working with her has been an absolute pleasure and game-changer for my life in Spain !
