Paul was super sweet and really helpful! We read some children’s story books, I practiced my pronunciation and tones and he corrected me when needed. He is very encouraging and I do plan to keep seeing him!

Paul Jacob is such an amazing teacher! I highly recommend taking his classes if you’re looking to improve your Cantonese, even if you already speak some. I was pretty nervous going into my first class, but he made the experience feel so comfortable and natural, especially when it came to speaking. Paul is funny, talkative and also he has profound knowledge of science, medicine and psychology; I think he is like an encyclopedia. Thus I learnt much knowledge from Paul's lesson.

I just got done with my second session, and I really enjoyed the storybooks Paul goes over! My Cantonese tones and some pronunciations still need some work, but I’m becoming more comfortable with the mistakes I make because Paul creates such a welcoming and encouraging environment where I don’t feel embarrassed about getting things wrong. I definitely need to brush up on a lot of words, but I’m happy to have an instructor like him to guide me along the way! The fact that I can talk to him about video games too is super cool! 多謝晒, Paul! You’re the best! ⭐️

Paul is an excellent teacher, who is patient and has helped me through my conversational learning of Mandarin. I appreciate that he’s able to explain concepts in both Mandarin and English.
