Giovanni Fazzone

Giovanni is a great teacher! He's encouraging, supportive, and very eager to help. He really goes out of his way to provide everything you need to succeed in learning Italian. Highly recommended!

Today we improved my understanding of prepositions which have been difficult for me. The lesson helped me better understand when to use what prepositions with which articles in a sentence.

First, we did dialogue activities where I learned everyday expressions. Then we moved on to reading to improve text comprehension, and in the remaining minutes we practiced conversation.

Oggi abbiamo avuto una lezione emozionante! We looked at a homework that included pictures from my weekend, and Giovanni even shared some pictures for his life! This type of studying is fun because it gives great examples of typical conversations, and it makes me feel like Giovanni is a great friend instead of a teacher. Grazie Giovanni- a domani!

As usual, we commenced with conversation, which allowed use of constructions to discuss more complex social issues and various geographical features - this was challenging, but speaking about contextually relevant topics was a fun application for me. We then continued with revision of the the si passivante, but this may need some more work. Nonetheless, engaging and interesting as always!

After some conversation practice, which allowed me to create some sentence constructions that I had not used before, we continued with our review of the si passivante. The resource for this is both interesting and easy to follow, with some excellent examples. Once we have completed this topic, I will have to practice these to consolidate my understanding. In any case, both the conversation and the review were enjoyable and informative. Always a pleasure working with Giovanni!
