Hi! I’m Hazuki from Osaka, Japan. I speak English and Spanish and am currently teaching at a school in Spain. I’ve been teaching Japanese on iTalki since 2020 and love helping students speak confidently while having fun! I have been teaching Japanese on Italki since 2020. Since I loved this job, I quit my corporate job and completed a 420-hour teaching certification course.
As I believe learning should be enjoyable and relaxed, I try to create a fun learning environment.

My lessons will be mostly conversational based as I believe speaking is a fundamental part of any language. I correct mistakes, help improve accents, teach new vocabulary, based on your level of Japanese and interests. I believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning. Since I studied languages myself, I understand how challenging learning a language can be. So I like to provide a fun, relaxed and informal environment.

She arrives at each lesson ready to make the most of every minute with clearly prepared teaching materials and lesson plans. On top of being an excellent teacher, she is also a great conversation partner and a uniquely interesting individual, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Japanese or even just have fun conversation.

I have had three conversation sessions with Hazuki-san so far. She has been very patient with my bad Japanese, and helps me to formulate sentences when I get stuck. Sessions are fun!

The lessons with Hazuki sensei really help me making a progress! We use the Genki book for homework which is very convenient. She helps me a lot with pronunciation as well. I feel challenged every time but also enjoy the lesson and the time goes by super fast.
