2023年に京都の大学を卒業し、大学では英文学を学びました。副専攻で日本語学も学びました。

I was born and raised in Japan, and so my mother tongue is Japanese.
In 2023, I graduated from a university in Kyoto. I mainly studied English literature and in my minor I studied Japanese linguistics.

私は皆さんのペースに合わせて日本語を話します。わからないところは皆さんにちゃんと理解してもらえるまで丁寧にゆっくり説明します。私がなんていったかわからなかった箇所は他の日本語で言い換えるか、英語で言い換えることもできます。
I have taught international students Japanese at high school and university. Through this experience, I realized how hard it was for Japanese learners to acquire the ability to speak Japanese.

I'll welcome all-level learners!
Whenever you say unnatural expressions, mis-pronounce, or make grammatical mistakes, I'll point out and correct them.
The atmosphere in my lesson is very relaxing, so please don’t be afraid of making mistakes! Or rather, it's okay to make many mistakes! ^ ^

This teacher is really fantastic. She will often point out things that you do that sound non-native, so you can perfect your linguistic ability and sound more like a native Japanese. It is hard to find a teacher that points such things out. I definitely recommend this teacher.

Always a pleasure to have a lesson with Emi San. One of my favorite things about a lesson with her is how positive and encouraging she is. I appreciate her focus on making the lessons enjoyable.

Every lesson with Emi-san is full of laughter and I feel really accomplished when we finish. We are now having bits of conversation in simple Japanese, something I wasn't sure I'd ever been able to do, and it's all thanks to her enthusiasm and niceness that motivates me to keep up studying.
