This teacher is really fantastic. She will often point out things that you do that sound non-native, so you can perfect your linguistic ability and sound more like a native Japanese. It is hard to find a teacher that points such things out. I definitely recommend this teacher.

Great lesson with Emi! Emi had me do two writing exercises, which we reviewed in class. Emi helped me correct the sentences to have the meaning that I intended. We also finished the questions for the reading exercise that we did during the last lesson. Emi did a great job of adjusting when I admitted that I did a different exercise than the one she told me about!

Every lesson with Emi-san is full of laughter and I feel really accomplished when we finish. We are now having bits of conversation in simple Japanese, something I wasn't sure I'd ever been able to do, and it's all thanks to her enthusiasm and niceness that motivates me to keep up studying.

Great lesson with Emi! We read "international student roundtable". We also stated learning grammar and doing exercises from lesson 14. I like how Emi is working on speaking and reading during the lesson. Emi also did a great job of explaining that there are places where more than one grammar point can be used to have the same meaning!

Great lesson with Emi! We learned the kanji from lesson 13 and did the reading about "turtle soup". Emi helped me clear up my understanding of the story in the places where I was a little confused. Emi also did a great job of pointing out that I was saying "一緒" instead of "一生", which could confuse a Japanese listener!
