My name is Cameron and I'm 30 years old. I'm from South Africa where I obtained my degree in Education. I love being outdoors, that's why my hobbies are fishing and scuba diving. I have a passion for teaching. The great thing about teaching is, you can shape young minds and help them to achieve their full potential. I believe that classes should be fun because if it is boring the students will not remember the lessons and they will not want to learn anymore. Even though I try to make the classes fun, I still push my students to achieve their potential because at the end of the day, they need to be able to use what they have learned.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My teaching style is one where I just help and guide the students to the right path rather than having them repeat after me like a parrot. Depending on their level, we will start off with flash cards and objects to improve their vocabulary. As they progress will make short sentences and then from there we will try to have a conversation where I can help them with their grammar and pronunciation. If I do give homework it will be something they can learn and use in their every day life, for example I will tell them to choose a dish they like making and then to write a recipe in English or Afrikaans so that they can tell me how to make it. Had an amazing first lesson with, Cameron! He was super patient and talkative the entire time. We shared plenty of laughs as we conversed between English and Afrikaans. He makes every bit of the conversation by finding ways to implement a teachable moment. He’s encouraged me when I had moments of second guessing my pronunciation or confusing between words. I’m looking forward to continue with his style of teaching. Baie dankie, Cameron!! ☺️

I am becoming more familiar with words and recognizing them, although still having a little trouble but. He is a great teacher and very supportive along the way of learning Afrikaans. I can say confidently that I know and understand more words and phrases than when I began taking lessons. Slow progress but it is good progress. I recommend taking Cameron on as a teacher he is great.
