I am an experienced English teacher with over 30 years of dedication in the Foundation Phase. I have a passion for travel and education. Living in Cape Town, I continue to embrace diversity both inside and outside the classroom, drawing on the richness of cultures.
Teaching has always been more than a profession for me. Currently I work as a supervisor at UWC. I believe in the power of language to connect people.

I’m a certified TEFL teacher passionate about helping learners achieve confidence and fluency in English. I worked with students from diverse backgrounds, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and goals. My teaching entails a curriculum focused on practical communication, grammar, and expanding vocabulary so you can express yourself naturally in everyday and professional contexts. Enjoy using podcasts, and real-life scenarios to make lessons engaging. I will guide you with clear explanations. My goal is to create a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow. My lessons are interactive especially with my homeschool students. My lessons are based on the student's level. The lesson would include conversation and inform the student what the lesson is about. Students get immediate feedback from me as it is vital for their learning and not be scared. My strength is patience with my students, and I promote never to give up. I follow an integrated planning which includes speaking, pronunciation, writing and vocabulary. The lessons are quite interactive and fun. Connecting with my students is vital because I plan according to their ability. I also share my resources. TPR is the most important teaching style, especially for those who are beginners.
