Hi!
My name is Nicki and I was born and raised in Germany. In the German state of Bavaria to be more specific. And while I had a good time there and a strong connection to the local traditions, I also always loved to travel. After several student exchange programmes, travels and an internship abroad, I finally settled on the Malaysian part of the island of Borneo. This country offers such a diverse flora & fauna, that even after 12 years I still find lots of new things to discover. I enjoy the amazing outdoors here, I love to delve into good books and I’m a food junkie. I also find it very exciting to meet people from different cultures and to exchange experiences and knowledge with them.Che tipo di insegnante sono
During my schooldays I discovered that I excelled in language classes and I chose English and French as major subjects. Later on, I had the chance to intensify my language skills and add other languages during a vocational training and tourism studies. While I learned those languages in a classical classroom setting, there were no language courses or books available to learn the languages of Malaysia. I had to learn them by listening to and communicating with the local people.
I might not have the qualifications of a professional teacher, but I can tap into my experiences of learning languages and I can draw a lot of valuable and useful knowledge from there to share with you. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
From my own experiences I believe in ‘learning by doing’, so during my lessons we will mainly focus on conversation. I want you to practice the language and not being shy or afraid of making mistakes. I will help you to identify and correct mistakes, whether it is pronunciation, word order or grammar. The topics for our conversations and discussions can be chosen and adapted individually to your preexisting language skills, your needs and your interests. We can also read articles, books or text documents together and use images for visualization to help your learning progress. I want you to enjoy the experience and encourage you to achieve your goals.5.0

Ich habe heute mit der Frau Neuner zum ersten Mal gesprochenen und ich bin sehr zufriden! Es ist schwer einen richtigen Gesprächpartner zu finden, mit dem man leicht über alles sprechen kann, der selbt klar und deutlich Deutsch spricht und viele Erfahrungen hat. Und Frau Neuner ist genau der Fall! :-) Vielen vielen Dank!

I had such a lovely chat with Nicki. We talked about different situations in Indonesia, Malaysia and Germany and also about our lives and jobs. Nicki asked me a lot of questions which really encouraged me to talk. She corrects me sometimes when I use the wrong words or expressions, but she does it in a really nice, non intrusive way. It's really good to talk to her because it's like talking to a friend. She is very friendly and welcoming and the conversation flowed naturally with her. I would be happy to chat with her again.

After taking a long pause, I was delighted to reconnect with Nicki and pick up where we left off. She makes me feel so comfortable, keeps the conversation going with engaging questions and is lovely person to conversate with. I know that lessons with Nicki have and will continue to improve my German, and I'm already excited for our next session!

My lesson with Nicki was fantastic! She is so friendly and really made me feel comfortable talking. She kept the conversation going, taught me new vocab and spoke slower when I needed it. A perfect first lesson, thank you Nicki!
