Danny LACERDA

Danny is an excellent teacher and her teaching style is a lot of fun. The lessons are really enjoyable and always involve plenty of laughter. When I began my journey with her I was a complete beginner and really struggled to put even two words together in conversational French, let alone a full, coherant sentence. Six months later and she's got me to the point where I feel confident enough in my ability that I'll happily be chatting with the locals during my impending trip to France. Danny creates an environment where you are actively encouraged to try, even if you're not sure. There's no judging or stern words, even if you really struggle with the same concept, week in-week out (as I did). Things get explained, very patiently and as often as needed, until it clicks for you. If you're looking for a teacher, I have no hesitation in recommending Danny. She is up there with the best.

Danny has been my teacher for over a year now and I cannot thank her enough for her effort. Thanks to her, I successfully passed the DALF C1 with high marks, bringing me from lacking confidence in speaking French to obtaining a formal certification. I loved her lessons, they were personalized and helped me work on the specific areas that I needed. Even the conversation courses were very well-structured, pushing me to use higher level vocabulary and keeping running lists of my mistakes that I could study later. I would highly recommend Danny to anyone looking to improve their level of French!

Danny est vraiment une professeure extraordinaire, elle m'a beaucoup aidée, et pendant nos cours, j'apprends toujours beaucoup. Grâce à elle, j'ai beaucoup progressé dans mon apprentissage et j'ai plus de confiance en moi quand je parle.

She was great!

I'll be brief and express my thoughts in my native language, English, to better express them. Danny is an incredible instructor. She's quick to assess your weaknesses and adapt her lessons to strengthen them. Moreover, she's patient and kind, which helps with removing any stress you have about speaking in your target language. Lastly, she has a great understanding of the grammatical aspects of the language and knows how to explain them in a way a foreign language learner needs. My only regret is not trying her lessons earlier. Had I done so, I have no doubt I would be much further along.

It was a trial lesson and the experience was very positive. I particularly enjoyed how Danny smoothly guided the conversation from one theme to the next and how she would make sugesstions and corrections without interrupting.
