My majors are English Language and Korean as a foreign language. I was fascinated to teach what I know to other people while I was an English teacher in Korea for four years and I learned how to pour love to my students by spending quality time. Moreover, teaching Korean at the university in the USA made me feel more proud of what I am doing as a native speaker. As a teacher, I consider communication as well as knowledge as the top priority to know what students are struggling with and help with it properly. As a language learner, I prefer to learn grammar, but I found out that it is not helping me to speak fluently because the knowledge of grammar stops me from speaking in the language freely. So my class will be more focused on real-life conversations, then supported with the grammars related to them. I really enjoy how much we just talk during the lesson while incorporating the grammar as I feel like it really helps me learn it and remember it on long term. Jinsol 선생님 always tells me fascinating and fun things about the Korean culture which I really appreciate. Another amazing lesson 감사합니다. 😄

During today's TOPIK preparation class Jinsol corrected the essay I wrote for homework and gave me valuable feedback, as well as offering many alternative ways to phrase thoughts and sentences I was struggling with. She always manages to motivate me to study harder, despite the fact that this is the second time I've had to postpone taking the TOPIK exam due to the global corona situation. While the TOPIK class is just an hour long, it always makes my day! see you next week!

I love returning to my classes with 진솔 선생님. We're talking about nuances a lot these days (lol) and her explanations make it a lot easier to understand some of the intricacies that the Korean language possesses. I'm looking forward to my next lessons - 기대돼요!

Learning with Jinsol 선생님 has been very enjoyable and I’ve seen my language skills improve consistently over time. Her feedback and reasoning behind the numerous grammar points only help to strengthen the retention of the language over time. Additionally, the conversations in Korean have helped me become more confident in both sentence construction and comprehensive. Really quite thankful to her for the gains I’ve made in the language!
