Isabel Heredia

I have taken around 100 classes with Isabel, there are a few things that I really like about her classes. 1. Isabel is very good at speaking to you at a level that you find comprehensible. As someone that started at a pretty low level she has always spoken to me with patience and clarity. 2. Isabel is very good at understanding your output. Obviously as learners our speech may have errors, Isabel manages to understand/decipher the point you are trying to make a very high percentage of the time. 3. Isabel has a lot of materials on a lot of different topics. Even after a large number of classes she always has new and interesting materials/videos for me to go through. 4. Isabel has high level of mental stamina. Classes are long and it's hard to stay mentally engaged for up to an hour of time. No matter where we are at in our class she is always giving corrections, asking clarifying questions, and providing useful information. 5. If needed, Isabel has excellent English. Thanks!

I have been taking classes once a week for the past 8-9 months with Isabel and have been seriously learning Spanish for almost a year now. When I say she is the best I truly mean it. She is always prepared, punctual, patient, resourceful, organized, and is the essence of what a tutor should strive to be. Since I started classes with her my Spanish has improved significantly and quicker than I anticipated. She always corrects me or suggests more natural ways of phrases/sentences/expressions for me and let’s me finish my thoughts/sentences before correcting me which I appreciate. She always gives me opportunities to speak. Our classes are informative, interesting, and most importantly fun. If I have a question or need help understanding a concept (grammar, vocabulary, conjugations) she provides me with clarity. I will continue to book with her and hope to reach an advanced level with her.

I believe that Isabel is one of the best Spanish teachers on italki. She works hard to adapt lessons to your interest and needs. She has a great knowledge of English, and can explain things you might not be understanding in a way that you can understand. She is patient and lets you speak, giving helpful corrections when you need it. She is a kind and pleasant person who is very helpful. If you want to learn Spanish, try a lesson with Isabel, I don’t think you will regret it.

Isabel teaching style is focused on providing a disciplined, structured and well planned curriculum. She definitely knows how to teach and to engage her student. Equally important is that her manner is calm, supportive and engaging. A highly recommended Isabel to prospective students.

I've been learning with Isabel for more than a year now, and I really enjoy the classes with her. She helps me practice speaking more fluently, and the conversation is always pleasant and friendly. She creates a great atmosphere for a productive class and puts a lot of effort into preparing for each class. Highly recommended!
