Hi! I’m Martin, nice to meet you! I’m a certified Italian teacher with a PLIDA certificate, and I’ve been teaching for +5 years on Italki, in language schools, and at university. Though I was born in Bulgaria, I moved to Italy when I was 3 and have lived there most of my life. Italian is my mother tongue I’ve spoken it with my friends and family since childhood. Now, I live in Mexico and love teaching Italian to students from all over the world. I'm a polyglot, fluent in Italian, Spanish, Bulgarian, and English, and currently learning Japanese and French. When I first meet a new student, my primary focus is to understand their goals, current level of Italian, and specific needs. Whether you want to practice speaking or focus on grammar, I customize the lessons to suit you. Una eccellente prima lezione con Martin! È molto amichevole e paziente, e mi ha incoraggiato di parlare in italiano. E evidente che sa molto su come insegnare bene le lingue. Every conversation with Martin is a delight. He's intellectually sharp but also very down-to-earth. Kind, good sense of humor, intellectually curious. I totally recommend Martin to anyone wanting to work on their Italian, whatever their level happens to be.
