Hello. My name is Michelle and I am originally from California. Traveling has always been one of my passions. I have traveled to about 20 countries and originally started teaching English as a way to make money while abroad. Since then, I have discovered that I really enjoy teaching and making a difference in people's lives, so I have continued to teach part-time from home. My method of teaching is very different than other teachers. My undergraduate and graduate university degrees are in social science, psychology and counseling. I am also a certified coach.

In 2009, I earned a 120-hour in-person TEFL certification issued by The Boston Language Institute which included supervised teaching of actual ESL classes. During this training, my instructors regularly told me that I should specialize in Business English. In 2020, I updated my teaching skills by completing a 120-hour TESOL certification program.
I have taught at private language schools, high school English and World Studies, and I have also privately tutored. Covid lockdowns prompted me to begin teaching both adults and young children online.

Our classes are private and I do not teach groups. Recording is not allowed. Students will not receive a refund if they have technical issues, cancel with insufficient notice, or if a session is terminated early due to inappropriate student behavior. My Skype ID is live:.cid.e0bca5c05f8479ef.
Italki allows for a 5 minute break. I apply this break during the last 5 minutes of class. I directly state when the 5 minute break will be so that all students are aware before scheduling.5.0

Michelle is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly! After a few minutes, Michelle could see what needed work in my speech, and we jumped right to it! Our first (of many!) lessons were helpful, insightful, productive, and fun. I'm super excited about our next class! Thank you, Michelle!

Michelle has helped me tremendously in improving my pronunciation skills. She is incredibly nice and professional.
One of the things I appreciate most about her is that she spots my mistakes and helps me correct them by showing me how my lips and tongue should be positioned. This has made a huge difference in my ability to speak English more clearly and confidently.
Furthermore, she is always encouraging and supportive, and her positive attitude has helped me stay motivated throughout my journey. I truly appreciate all the hard work she has put into helping me improve my English skills, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch English teacher.
Overall, my experience with this teacher has been nothing short of excellent, and I feel lucky to have had her as my teacher.

Michelle always inspired me to keep up myself. She is a good teacher while also a good listener. Sometimes I feel like she is more like a life coach, which help me find a better self. I always feel more motivated after a lesson with her.
