I have been teaching Mandarin for over five years. I help my students improve their speaking by correcting their pronunciation and grammar, ensuring they avoid unnatural expressions.
I was once a student taking lessons on Italki, so I understand how to make learners feel comfortable during lessons. Through my experience taking many lessons on Italki, I have learned various teaching methods, which have been extremely helpful in my own teaching and communication with students.

There are two types of lessons:
1. Conversation with Correction and Advice – I will prepare different topics based on your level before our lesson. During the lesson, I will correct your pronunciation and grammar, document them in a Google document, and send it to you afterward.
2. Lessons for Beginners – I will prepare useful words and sentence patterns and organize them in a Google document before the lesson.Il mio materiale didattico

I have tried a lot of different Chinese tutors on Italki and others platforms, I find that Jojo is one of the best, and actually the best if you take into consideration the price of the lesson. What I especially appreciate is all the corrections Jojo will give you, not only giving you new vocab like every tutors will easily do , but also write the correct sentence ( or the one which sound more natural) so you can revised after the lesson.

I like how JoJo Laoshi adds what we have previously learned into what we are currently learning. Also all of the lessons are perfectly aligned to show whats more important to least. Also all the lessons reflect everyday life and what is most spoken in chinese in everyday life

Jojo does a great job with finding a topic for my level. He makes the class challenging and fun. Unlike many teachers, he actually corrects my grammar and word choice mistakes. Highly recommended!

I booked the trial lesson because of the reviews, and the Jojo is surely an excellent teacher with a lot of patience, I’m looking forward for more lessons in the future
