Hyungsu Kim

Today I had my 50th lesson with Hyungsu! Reflecting on my progress since our very first lesson, I feel grateful to continue working with a teacher who encourages me to do my best and helps me to constantly refine my Korean skills. I am so amazed by the way Hyungsu introduces new, challenging concepts in an approachable, engaging way that helps me feel comfortable practicing with and using new concepts immediately. Additionally, his feedback both in class and through the workbooks is detailed and informative, not only to correct errors, but also provides further context and a more in-depth understanding of the topics. Korean can be a difficult language to learn, but Hyungsu’s supportive teaching style and compassion have made a huge difference in my progress. Our lessons are so fun and I leave our lessons inspired to work harder and strive to do my best. I look forward to taking many more lessons with Hyungsu!

Hyungsu is a great teacher. I have been taking classes for over two months now and only knew Hangeul and a handful of words in the beginning. Obviously, I still have a long way to go, but I'm amazed by all the things I learned in such a short amount of time. I like the mixture of grammar concepts, reading/speaking exercises and additional cultural background information. The class environment feels really encouraging and friendly too, so don't worry about making mistakes or asking questions. :)

I am grateful for his teaching. I really appreciate his kind and patient approach and all the real life examples. It's easy to feel discouraged if I'm unable to meet regularly and feel rusty, but he patiently helps me get back on track and is very encouraging. Thank you for your wonderful support!

Hyungsu is an amazing teacher. We’ve been working together for more than 2 years now and my Korean level has grown incredibly fast. Although learning a completely new language can be daunting, and it’s easy to feel discouraged when things start to get difficult, Hyungsu’s lessons and materials really help you keep motivated and feel like you’re making progress. I started my lessons barely being able to read Korean and with only a few words learned from Korean Dramas and Korean Music. Now I am able to have 1 hour lessons almost fully in Korean, read, write and have advanced dialogues. I really couldn’t recommend anyone better 고마워요 쌤, 최고예요!

I was impressed from the very first lesson. Choosing this 선생님 for my Korean journey in 2026 is hands down the best decision I’ve made. 선생님 knows precisely how to guide me to the next level, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue. He even checked the content of the grammar I had previously studied and came to class super prepared so I became fluent in korean. Not many teachers has his skills.
