Bonjour! I’m Laura, a Londoner living in the French countryside with 6+ years of teaching English and learning French the hard way!
Alongside my teaching businesses, I run an eco-friendly guest house and project manage the renovation of my 19th century French farmhouse (clearly I love a challenge and more than a little chaos!)
When I'm not teaching, I love hiking, cooking, travelling, practicing yoga and reading.

As your teacher, I will support you, guide you and give you lots of time to talk and practice. I aim to create a safe and relaxed environment to learn in. After all, we learn best when we're relaxed and can take risks :)
I have gained a lot of teaching experience the last few years, teaching students from around the world, but I am also continually learning and developing my teaching skills - once a teacher, always a student!

The structure and type of our lessons all depends on your goals and what you'd like to focus on - I offer natural, friendly conversation with helpful advice (think vocabulary, phrases and idioms), targeted skills classes using my library of great resources, flexible and effective business English classes, and fun and supportive kids classes - take your pick!

English tutorI teach English to private students online via Zoom. These classes are one to one, and are planned exclusively for each student according to their level and needs. I develop custom made curriculums for students and provide feedback and learning objectives.

Laura has this calm and kind presence that instantly puts me at ease. I used to feel anxious speaking, but with her, I feel much more relaxed and confident. She’s really good at keeping the conversation going and always finds something interesting to talk about. I’m really grateful for her support.
