Hi there, you can call me Sher. I'm a native Filipino. I love watching K-dramas, anime and MMA :) Whether you're a complete beginner or at an advanced level, I'm open to teaching anyone :) Though I don't have formal education in teaching, I've gotten a lot of experience using the languages I speak in practical situations. Working within customer service has been a big part of mastering the languages I teach here on iTalki, both in terms of language skills as well as refining my communication skills. I am a good conversationalist and I have a way of making people feel comfortable in conversations. I prioritize my students' needs by communicating with them and providing them options on how they want to learn. I want to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere, while also tailoring each lesson to your specific needs, regardless of your level. That could mean discussing articles at an advanced level or providing shared material we can go over if you're just starting out.

No teacher has been able to give me a good explanation of Cebuano verb affixes...until Sher. She has really helped me in this area and she has given me lots of extra material to look at and study through Google Docs. If you are considering a lesson with Sher, I think you will be happy with her.

Sher is always so patient and understanding even when it’s something we have gone over prior. She is kind and supportive and provides lots of examples and feedback to me when I’m struggling with something. I really value her as a teacher! I wish our time and availability aligned better because I would take a class daily if I could lol
