Hi, my name is Laia, I am 27 years old and I live in Barcelona, Spain. I am a professional dancer and I just graduated in Law and Business Management. Traveling is my passion. I love good food, music, meditation, philosophical conversations, and exploring new cultures. I spent my last year of university studying in both Wien (Austria) and Stellenbosch (South Africa). I was able to learn more about different lifestyles, possibilities, languages (English became my everyday language), and myself. Added to that, I have traveled to 17 different countries and this has allowed me to continuously improve my communication skills (verbal and non-verbal). I am trilingual in English, Spanish and Catalan. I believe that practicing through conversation is the most effective way to learn a language because it allows you to interiorize the concepts better. For instance, it is always better to run than to think about running.
We will practice by listening, learning new vocabulary, speaking, making mistakes, and having fun. We will focus on what you specifically need, so you can get the best out of each class.
The learning environment will be relaxed, friendly, and comfortable, so you won't feel any pressure while practicing. I am really enthusiastic and I will make sure that If you ever get frustrated, you will regain motivation for the language.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My teaching approach will be completely personalized for you, so I help you learn better. My classes are open to everyone, no matter what age you are. During the first lesson, we will discuss your goals as well as your weaknesses and strengths, so I can plan the following classes. We will talk about any topic you like and I will be right by your side to help you improve any area you want: reading, pronunciation, writing, listening...
With practicing you will see how you improve a bit more every week, so with every class you take with me you will be closer to your goals.

Wow! Laia is such a wonderful teacher!
I highly recommend. Just finished my first Català lesson and I already feel much more confident in my speaking, pronunciation / understanding of the language overall. Can’t wait for my next lesson!

I am just beginning to learn Spanish, Laia was very understanding and helpful. She makes you feel very comfortable about making mistakes and learning from them. Looking forward to more sessions! Would definitely recommend.
