I'm a 29-year-old teacher and a third-year PhD student in Russian literature at the University of Verona. I lived in Russia for six years and studied at Saint Petersburg State University, so Russian culture is very close to my heart.
I come from Naples, a sunlit and lively city in southern Italy. I love literature, foreign languages (I speak French, English, and Russian at a C2 level), and electronic music. Я настоящий гедонист! I enjoy all of life's pleasures—great food, fine wine, and good company. But what I love the most is traveling, hiking, swimming in the sea, and discovering new places. I am an experienced teacher with a passion for languages. I have been teaching Italian for five years in Russia (at Derzhavinsky Institute in Saint Petersburg) and have been teaching Russian to individual students since 2017, as well as at university since 2022.
I’ve been studying foreign languages for as long as I can remember, so I understand how challenging—but also exciting and rewarding—the process can be. I’ll show you how amazing it feels to immerse yourself in a new language, culture, and traditions, like being reborn! I’m ready to teach students from A1 to C2, and since I know different languages, I’m sure we’ll find the best way to communicate. My method adapts to your level: if you're a beginner, we’ll focus on grammar without neglecting speaking practice. We’ll do exercises, listen to audio recordings, and practice as much as possible! If you're more advanced, we’ll explore idioms, proverbs, and complex grammar structures, reading newspaper articles and discussing engaging topics. Most importantly, I’ll tailor the lessons to your interests and goals, making this language journey both effective and enjoyable!Il mio materiale didattico

Iris is an outstanding Italian teacher - professional, patient, and truly passionate about teaching. Her lessons are always well-structured yet flexible, adapting to my level and interests. She makes learning fun with a mix of conversation and grammar. What I appreciate most is her encouraging attitude: she never makes me feel bad for making mistakes and always explains things clearly.
