Akane Sensei

Akane-sensei has been teaching my son Japanese for several months now, and he looks forward to lessons! She is a friendly, encouraging, engaging teacher and he even loves doing her homework. Thanks to Akane-sensei, my son is now teaching me Japanese. She definitely makes learning Japanese fun! ありがとうございますあかね先生！

My son loves having lessons with Akane, I believe it is genuinely one of the highlights of his week. He looks forward to his Japanese lesson all week. Akane is so positive and encouraging and shares so many interesting things with him. She's also very open to feedback and tailoring the lessons to have more or less of a focus on different things like the Japanese characters as you would like. Thank you Akane, you are a wonderful teacher!!

I am lucky to have found Akane-sensei to teach my son a month ago. She is a genuine professional teacher with a talent for imparting and nurturing Japanese language skills, and her lessons are an enjoyable and valuable part of his education. He speaks in Japanese throughout her lessons, and he has made noticeable progress already.

My 9 year old son, who can be a little shy with people he doesn’t know well, enjoyed his first lesson with Akane-sensei today. The lesson was pitched at the right level and she made it fun and comfortable for my son to speak and ask questions. She organised a 10 minute feedback session with me after the lesson which was very helpful. I was impressed by her observation of my son’s personality, character and his current Japanese abilities. We are looking forward to his next lesson!
