🇫🇷 I was born and raised in the department of Nord in France, at the French-Belgian border. 🇧🇪
I now live in a small village in Savoy, in the French Alps; but it is not rare for me to go abroad for a while, to take some new breaths of fresh air! 🏔️
I am dynamic, always curious and looking forward to meeting new people and making new discoveries 🤠 I love foreign languages and cultures. Me fascina la cultura caribeña, la cual descubrí viviendo en Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 y República Dominicana 🇩🇴. Besides making social connections, I am interested in many things such as linguistics; music (especially reggae ✌🏻 and rock 🤘🏻!); history; outdoor activities; animals or still human sciences 😊Che tipo di insegnante sono
👩🏼🏫 In 2016, after my Bachelor’s in English Literatures and Cultures, I did my Masters in Language Teaching, specializing in Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FFL).
For me, teaching French is, above all, a passion; much more than just a job. I take great pleasure in helping people discover my native language as well as the francophone culture that surrounds it. I like dynamic, lively classes where there is real communication and a growing desire to know more 🙋🏼♀️

While teaching, I always make sure to have a fun and up-to-date teaching approach by testing new methods and using a wide range of resources in a structured way: we know where we are starting from (your level), where are we going (your goals) and how to get there (your training); this is an essential aspect of your learning journey that will allow me to provide you with optimal and personalized follow-up.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ma première leçon avec Océane. Elle était à l'écoute, très attentive et motivante et elle m'a fait me sentir complètement à l'aise. J'ai beaucoup apprécié ses corrections (qu'elle a faites très discrètement et sans jugement) et la manière dont elle s'explique et s'exprime. Il est clair qu'elle s'enthousiasme pour son métier. Merci!

Il y a deux années j'ai enfin décidé de réaliser le but de ma vie qui était d'apprendre une nouvelle langue. J'ai eu incroyablement de la chance de tomber sur Océane pour ma premier leçon d'essai, et je ne suis jamais revenu en arrière. Aujourd'hui, nous en avons fait une centaine, et je suis vraiment fière de mes progrès, tout grâce à Océane. Elle a un sens inné pour l’enseignement : elle est patiente, attentionnée, et soigneuse. Elle fait toujours un effort supplémentaire, et pense clairement comment répondre aux besoins de chaque élève. Bref : la prof parfaite !

J'ai commencé à prendre des cours de français avec Océane il y a un an. Je connaissais un peu de mots et de phrases, mais j'étais un vrai débutant. Maintenant, je me sens que j'ai fait beaucoup de progrès : par exemple, j'écris ça, lentement, en français ! J'ai hâte de continuer mes cours avec Océane et je suis sûr que je vais continuer à progresser très vite ! Quelle professeure geniale !
I started taking weekly lessons with Océane a year ago. I knew a few words and phrases from having taken french in middle school some 25 years ago ("ou est la toilette?") but I was essentially a complete beginner. In the past year I have made tremendous strides thanks to Océane. We are following a standard progression using Didier's L'atelier A1 book (it's almost time for A2!), but Océane enriches the standard exercises with lots of extra material, and we often go down extensive detours in response to my many questions, to which she always provides thorough and detailed answers.
