From day one, Panos has navigated every single one of the intricacies that comes with my being a heritage speaker of Greek and speaking a hybrid of standard Greek and Cypriot. His lessons are meticulously tailored, with plenty of opportunities for discussion and review. He’s helped me to fill a lot of gaps in my knowledge whilst still keeping the lessons interesting, and has helped to smooth out some of the bad language habits I’ve picked up over the years. On top of this, he is friendly, patient, encouraging, and has a great sense of humour. Whilst my original reason for taking up lessons was primarily ‘I should probably be able to communicate better with my relatives’ (i.e. more out of obligation than anything else), I’ve realised that along the way I’ve come to appreciate the Greek language in its own right, which almost certainly wouldn’t have happened without such a stellar teacher. To anyone looking for a Greek teacher, you won’t find anyone better.

I've studied Welsh and German online, with many different teachers. I have also been involved in professional evaluation of specialist English teachers. After half a dozen plus Greek lesson with Panos, I have no hesitation in saying that he is right at the top of the game. His lessons are well prepared, structured yet flexible, and geared towards the individual's needs. In each lesson there are plenty of opportunities for review and reinforcement of key points, all done with patience and good humour. In addition, he uses Quizlet to encourage further independent reinforcement of key points. He's great!

Panos has consistently demonstrated qualities that make him an outstanding teacher. One of the nicest aspects of Panos’ teaching style is his incredible patience. Learning a new language can be daunting, but he creates a supportive environment where the learner feels comfortable making mistakes & asking questions. His calm demeanor & willingness to explain concepts multiple times ensure that every student can grasp the material at their own pace. He is very encouraging and celebrates our achievements, no matter how small, which motivates us to keep going. His ability to connect with students on a personal level creates a warm and inviting learning experience. Panos is very organized. Each lesson is thoughtfully planned. I have just completed my first 10 lessons with Panos, and it has been a fantastic experience. Greek is a challenging language, but Panos has a great way of making it approachable and enjoyable. He is incredibly patient, explains everything clearly, and builds each lesson step by step without ever making you feel rushed. I have really enjoyed my first two lessons with Panos. He is very friendly, patient and easy to talk to, and he explains the Greek alphabet and pronunciation very clearly.
