I am Aurélie and I come from Soissons, a small city in the North of France. I have lived in different regions of France (Reims - the Champagne region and Strasbourg, famous for its Christmas market) as well as abroad (Ipswich, UK - Melbourne and Sydney, Australia - Germany).
When I have free time, I like hiking, drinking a glass of white wine with my friends or spending time with my 6 year-old nephew. I am learning German right now though I am still a beginner. I've been teaching languages for almost 10 years. I fell in love with teaching when I was working as a language assistant in a boarding school in England. I went there after I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English. When I came back to France, I went back to college and graduated with a Master's degree in Foreign Languages Didactics. I worked in France mainly with adults and teenagers. I also worked in the Alliance Française in Sydney and Melbourne while I was in Australia. I've taught people of all level and background. I also have extensive knowledge on the DELF/DALF exam as well as the TCF exam.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
Each lesson has a lexical, grammatical and cultural angle. I use textbooks, exercise books, PDF and Words documents. You don't have to buy a book. I create a document based on a textbook but I usually add more material. I use videos and audio files (dialogues - radio shows - podcasts) as well as newspaper articles adapted to your level. First, we study a document, then we work on the vocbulary and at the end we study a grammatical rule. The lessons are mostly in French (though I am more lenient with beginners).Il mio materiale didattico

Aurelie was very nice and understanding. I am a first time iTalkie user and wasn't quite used to the forum. Aurelie was very patient and professional. I found Aurelie easy to listen too and understand because of her gentile manner.

I introduced myself and said that I'd like to learn how to speak, listen, read and write better. Aurelie spoke French the entire time and helped by adding vocabulary into chat. I look forward to future lessons. Not sure how to proceed.

The teacher was excellent. She understood my needs. She identified my strengths and weaknesses and I feel I could make real improvements if I continue classes, twice a week.
