Hello hello! Who is Jean? ๐โโ๏ธ Here's a little bit about me:
๐ป I am 30 years old.
๐I was born in Kentucky, but now I live in Florida.
๐ I love to read,
๐ค learn new languages,
๐ถ play with my dog,
๐บ watch old TV shows (like Golden Girls!),
๐ฟ watch movies (I love superheroes ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ and rom-coms ๐),
๐ฎ play games (like MarioKart and Animal Crossing),
โ๏ธ and travel! I have been to the Bahamas ๐ง๐ธ, Taiwan ๐น๐ผ, Hong Kong ๐ญ๐ฐ, England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ, Scotland ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ, and Wales ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ.

I've taught English online since 2019. I have a TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I also have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in English and a Master's of Fine Arts from Seton Hill University. One of these days, I want to start a Master's in Applied Linguistics. (Language nerd, remember?!)

My lessons are very casual. Do you know the phrase "nit picky"? It describes someone who looks for every mistake, someone who is very critical. I am NOT nit picky. In our classes, I listen for patterns: when you make the same mistake many times, I will tell you about it. But I will not correct every mistake. It's more important to me that we have a conversation like real people. Of course, I will answer any question you have about English! But I will not interrupt you to correct your mistakes.

Jean is so friendly, patient and helpful. I'm so impressed about her way to teach. It's amazing. I'm so relaxed during our conversations. I've already booked more English lessons. I highly recommend to visit her classes.

I'm one of those students who don't have enough confidence to speak english. But Jean has created such a positive and inspiring atmosphere with her passion, patience and magic earphones) In her class I'm not afraid of making mistakes because I know she will lead me to the right direction. She is so interesting and has great energy. We have been talking all the time although I'm good at creating awkward silence. Obviously she is also good at maintaining the conversations) I really appreciate her help.
