Whether I am preparing for a test (HSK2/HSKK), need help with my homework for my group class, or want her to help me put together a quality introduction in Mandarin for an Instagram reel ~> She is there to help and adjust her teaching method to fit my needs! I wholeheartedly recommend Teacher Tara. She is not just experienced, kind, encouraging and well-prepared, but also fits each lesson to the student's level and needs. She can slow down/speed up/try a different approach during the lesson to help the student better understand, which is a true sign of a capable and empathetic teacher. My daughter loves to have lessons with Teacher Tara!

Tara is an incredible teacher who knows how to personalize the lesson to the student’s unique needs! I am Chinese growing up in America with casual conversational skills from speaking at home but as a new mom, I wanted to improve so that I can be a good language role model. We start off each lesson by discussing my baby’s toys so that I can learn how to describe or talk about the toys when I play with my baby. Then we have conversation practice where we discuss various topics which fill up the gaps in my vocabulary. Tara also corrects my grammar as I go. All of the vocabulary and topics are very relevant to my day to day life and I am able to practice and use the words right away.

Tara is an excellent tutor. My teenager daughter (even she isn't an easy going person, to say the truth) respects her, enjoys the lessons with Tara and she doesn't try to find reasons to escape!

No matter what, Tara always adapts to what I need and she's always willing to go the extra step to help me. I've always left her lessons feeling confident and like I've just levelled up my skills.

My first meeting with Tara was amazing! She came up with a customized plan to meet my goals and I felt like she really listened to me. In addition she was able to share her experiences with other students with similar goals and it helped me a lot to understand all of the different options and plans to achieve my goals.
